In your daily reading of God's precious Word, has He ever so impressed something on your heart that you can find no rest until you listen to His still, small voice and do what He urged you to?That happened to me the other morning as I was meditating on Psalm 3 and He impressed me to share these amazing words on my blog.
This Psalm was one of many that strengthened, encouraged and sustained me when I was living miraculously with a mechanical heart pump implanted in my chest, awaiting for the 'gift of life' ~ a donor heart.
May you be as blessed by the Lord's hand as I was during those 7 long months living in a hospital ward, as well as those 8 years beforehand, living with congestive heart failure developed as the result of a 2 day sore throat.
1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O Lord, are a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God; for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
